On a recent business trip, Hubby dropped his wallet.  He was just 12 hours away from flying home, possibly without ID.  He called me in a panic in the hotel lobby of a new hotel he had yet to check into because, he was without ID and Credit Cards! Once his wife, me, talked him through some options he started thinking calml.

“I lost my wallet but I’m booked in your hotel. I can tell you the last four digits of my CC#, will that work?” Hubby asked in desperation to the young desk clerk.

“Works for me.  You know, people in DC are so good.  I’m positive your wallet will return.” he replied.

After placing a call to explain his situation to  the bell captain of the last hotel, the young man checked the bench my husband sat on in his lobby and found the wallet.

Hubby hailed an awesome Uber driver, a French and English speaking gentleman from Cameroon, who drove him 40 miles back to his previous hotel.  Coincidentally, the driver was an Organic Man just like Hubby, so they had a lot to talk about.  Forty minutes plus, sailed!  The Driver waited for Hubby to collect his wallet and take him back. (Yeah, I know.  But the guy was so great!)

Hubby tipped the Bell Captain for his honest and generous service.  He rode back to his new hotel, continuing the awesome anti-toxin food conversation with his Organic Man Uber driver.  Because his CC was in the Uber system, he did not worry about money.  All was good. He tipped the driver handsomely.

He tipped the desk clerk too!  After all, Hubby might not have thought positive thoughts if the Desk Clerk didn’t tell him how honest people in DC could be, a bit of a contradiction for some.  Hubby followed the positive thinking advice and faith that all would work out.

To celebrate his safe ID arrival, he delivered these to me, by hand.  Swoon.

Wow! Just WOW!
